Classroom Orientations
The EWC is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 to 3:30. We would appreciate it if you could pass this information along to your students and encourage them to take advantage of the services we offer. Our tutors are trained to help and support fellow students working on curricular and extra-curricular English writing projects. They are also available for conversational English practice sessions informally known as “speaking logs.”
If you would like one of our experienced tutors to visit any of your classes to orient your students about our services, please complete and submit the form that appears below. You may also sign up for a walking tour from your classroom to the EWC: after concluding the orientation, our tutor will accompany your students to the Center and briefly demonstrate the process of signing in and attending a tutoring session. In the recent past these tours have proved useful for first-year students.
You will be contacted within 72 hours to schedule your visit.
The EWC is eager to collaborate with you in the ongoing and crucial process of supporting, guiding and challenging English writers at all levels. We hope that you’ll welcome us into your classroom and/or encourage your students to visit the Center. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
